Creating A Fun Scrapbook Layout Background With Tags | Arden Creative Studio | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, I’ve been making the most of a super cute die set from Arden Creative Studio; Maker Series Tag Essentials 02. I didn’t use them as intended, as tags, but rather to create an interesting background.

Using patterned paper from the Arden Creative Studio ‘Field Notes’ collection I die cut numerous tags, arranging the 4 in the same format across my page. I also wanted a rainbow colour order so as I was cutting the tags & putting them in place I switched between the different patterned papers, intertwining the colours as I went.

My 4×6 photo I positioned at the centre of my layout, with my ‘Favourite Moment’ title; Hey Little Magpie Wood Etched Title Builder, split above & below it. Next I fussy cut butterflies from a patterned paper in the same collection & arranged them colour on colour diagonally across my page.

To finish, as always, a sprinkle of sparkle, again in coordinating rainbow colours. Do you ever use your scrapbooking supplies differently to as they are intended? Perhaps challenge yourself to give it a go.

Until next time, much love,

Em xxx
