Hello Magpies.

Julie back with you again today sharing my second layout using the lovely ‘You are my Sunshine’ from Pretty Little Studio.

I chose to go with a white cardstock background & add MM this time. This collection is so bright & vibrant I knew it could take some black so using my Black Soot oxide ink I brayered some diluted ink down the left hand side, vertically. I stencilled over that with Mustard Seed & splattered with black, yellow & white. I added a small bit of black to a few of the edges, to grunge them up & did a pen drawn border all the way round.

I cut a large semi-circle out the ‘Feel the Sunshine’ paper, distressed the edge & added to the right. I cut a loopy border, from the exclusive dies & added to the centre join along with some inked gauze, lace trim & machine stitching.

I backed my photo in black cardstock, to ground it, & positioned it over the semi-circle & MM in the centre slightly towards the bottom. I cut 2 of the long stemmed leaves & added those & also cut out 2 of the notebook paper dies to add at the side of the photo.

My title comes from another exclusive Hey Little Magpie product, the stamps & dies, perfect as you can make your word match whatever colour scheme you’re using.
