Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel

Hello Magpies, hows your summer holiday going? what ever you are doing I hope you have some time to do some scrapping.  Well this month, I’m using the new collection from Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel, and as the name suggests its a carnival / fair ground themed collection.
As I couldn’t find any fairground photographs, I opted to use regular ones and showcase how this collection can still be used with everyday photographs.
So my first is ‘The Big Sleuth 2017’ currently in Birmingham we have a ‘bear hunt’ were there are over 100 decorated bears in and around Birmingham, in aid of the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.  It such a fun thing to do and a great way to visit some of the area around the City that you might not have visited before.
 
I started this layouts by slightly distressed the white cardstock using the packaging technique.
I used Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel – Sweet Paper and the B-side of Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes- Carousel – Kaleidoscope Paper as a matt for my photographs.
 

I used one of the tag from the Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel – Ephemera  and added a tag I die cut from Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel – Carnival paper, and overlapped it with a banner piece from the puffy sticker sheet.
Adding some details from the Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel – Puffy Stickers and stars from both the puffy sticker sheets and Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel – Chipboard sheet
 

 
I also used a sticker from the sticker sheet.

For the title I used Large chipboard foiled alphabets from the range,

 
and the numbers from the small sized Thicker sets in this collection, which are Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel – gold foam foil thickers .

For my 2nd layouts, Happy Moments with You.
 
I used the Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Uplifting paper as my background paper, adding two stripes down the right hand side from Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Kaleidoscope Paper and Sweet Paper.

 
I machined stitched down these strips, and added a small clusters of embellishments to the bottom of the righthand strip.

I layered my photographs using a selection of patterned papers from this collection, and added some embellishments around the photo mat.
For the title I used the Large Thickers, and ‘moments’ from the puffy sticker sheet, the ‘with you’ are the alphabets from the Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel – Foiled Clear Sticker.

For my final layout, Night Glow

I used two photographs mounted on patterned papers from this collection, and used the Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel – Carried Away paper,
and used one of the Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes – Carousel – Interactive Cards, to hold my journalling and additional bits from the ephemera pack.

I love the size of these alphabets for the title.
