Crate Paper – Moonlight Magic | Baby Sage
Hello Magpies, Amy here sharing my 6th and last layout using Crate Paper’s Moonlight Magic collection, a beautiful collection full of pretty florals, woodland creatures and a few fairies.
Baby Sage
For this layout I decided to go wild with some mixed media and fussy cut elements. I started by using Distress Oxide in grey in the centre of a white cardstock. I used a mixture of the packaging technique, a paintbrush and some splatters to create the background area.
Supplies:
Crate Paper’s Moonlight Magic – 12×12 Paper pad
Crate Paper’s Moonlight Magic – Journalling Ephemera Pack
Crate Paper’s Moonlight Magic – Puffy Stickers
Crate Paper’s Moonlight Magic – 6×12 Sticker Sheet
Crate Paper’s Moonlight Magic – Cardstock & Foam Thickers
HLM Wax Seals
12×12 Smooth White Cardstock
Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad – Hickory Smoke
I just love all the different tones that came out of the one grey ink pad. Don’t dismiss grey and boring, it can provide the perfect backdrop for all sorts of scrapbook collections. In this example I decided to use lots of the blue tones from the Moonlight Magic collection.
I fussy cut out 7 of the frames from one of the patterned papers, and when my mixed media was dry, I stuck them to my page in a random fashion. I used 3 small photos and added them to my layout in a slightly diagonal line across the page. I added my fairly long title using the gold tile thickers from the collection. I bounced each letter up and down for added movement to the page.
Then came my favourite part of decorating the page. I fussy cut some black and white flowers from a different patterned paper, but left some of the blue background. I added these to my frames. I then picked out pieces from the collection that I had left in either neutrals of blues and layered them around the page. I added a scattering of star stickers to the mixed media background. I also added a Hey Little Magpie flair.
I created a cluster in the top right corner, where I used the cream alphabet tile thickers to add my date. The page was finished off by adding a ‘Never stop dreaming’ wax seal in a matching shade of blue.
Thanks so much for coming to take a closer look at my layout. I hope you’ve enjoyed how I have used this collection. I will be back next month with a different collection. Take Care,
