Crate Paper – mix and match!
Hi!
I really love Crate Paper and Maggie Holmes. I always buy their collections. Even when they are themed… like Little you. I don’t have any baby photos to scrap right now, but I want the collection anyway! And you can always use bits and pieces from a themed collection!
First layout – Moments
I bought everything I could get my hands on from Maggie Holmes – Bloom. The flowers in the ephemera pack are so lovely and easy to use, and I’m so happy I bought two packs!
I painted some of the bows and cut out some of them. An easy way to make more embellishments! I also mixed in some Crate Paper – Little you!
The black and white paper in the background is a very old paper from my stash!
Second layout – Kanin och nappen
Sometimes I write my titles in Swedish. I often choose words that looks good… “Kanin” means rabbit… and it looked better for this layout. The letters from Maggie Holmes are all in different colors… so you need to choose your titels carefully! 😀
Here I also mixed and matched Bloom with Little you! All the colors are perfect together!
One of my favorite products from Bloom is the washi book. The washi tape stickers are adorable and match the papers so good! I used it up quick and it made me start using my old washi tapes again! 😀
Layout number 3 – &
For this layout I dived into my stash and found papers from Crate Paper – Notes & Things… and the background is the B-side of a paper from Crate Paper – Hello Love.
The flowers for this layout is from the vellum paper in Bloom. An idea I got from Jessy Christopher (DT for Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper).
Some PL pages
I mix layouts with PL pages in my album. Bits and pieces I can’t use for layouts ends up in PL pockets. I had only one pink flower left… not enough for a layout, but perfect for a pocket!
I want to keep my PL pages simple. A PL page often includes photos with different colors and it is easy to make the page too busy! The focus must be on the photos and the text.
This PL page is made with project life cards from Maggie Holmes – Open book and a paper from Bloom. Decorations are Bloom and Little you (and one from my stash).
An other thing I tend to use very often is roller stamps. I have both the one from Maggie Holmes – Bloom and the one from Shimelle – Starshine. I love how a simple stamp adds something more to a PL card or a layout.
