Cool Dude | Pebbles – Cool Boy
Hello, Amy here sharing this boy styled layout with you today. This month I have had great fun playing with the new “Cool Boy” collection by Pebbles.
Cool Dude
I started off my layout by using some Mustard Seed Distress Oxide and the packaging technique to apply a largish area to the centre of my page. I tried to create a vague diamond like shape and concentrated on making my edges uneven and splattery. I also added some extra splatters using a paintbrush. I let this ink completely dry before proceeding.
I selected 5 of the patterned papers from the collections. I decided on the lime green part of the patterned paper called “Cool Dude“, the orange and red checkerboard patterned paper called “On The Go“, the grey paper “Fun and Games“, the navy paper “Awards” and the pale blue paper with multicoloured stars on called “Plaid“.
I cut 3 different sized diamonds from each of the 5 selected papers. I then layered them up and used my sewing machine with black thread to stitch them together. I stuck them onto my inked background. I matted my photo, first in white and then with the navy patterned paper to make it stand out a little more.
I used the ephemera phrase “Cool Dude” as my title, and underneath that I also placed the computer controller die cut. I added some of the fun little creatures from the ephemera pack too.
I added the date and subtitle using yellow alphabet stickers from Bella Blvd. These are my favourite font style right now….I seriously cant get enough of them! They were a perfect match to my inked background, So just for fun I added a few of the heart stickers to the edges of the ink too. It adds a nice little extra detail. I also added some stripes of the Cool Dude paper to the top and bottom of my page to frame it.
Thanks for coming to take a look at my layout. I would love to see how you’re using this collection over on the Hey Little Magpie Chat and Inspiration Facebook group. Don’t forget that we also have our next Cyber Crop over there this weekend (Saturday 10th Feb 2024). Ill be back with some more fun layouts using this Cool Boy collection soon. Take Care,
