Colour Swatch Ocean | 49 and Market | Giselle Homer
Happy November everyone!
Today I’m sharing my first layout using ‘Colour Swatch – Ocean’ from 49 and Market. These Colour Swatch collections are smaller than usual & work alongside other collections adding little extras that enhance your layouts.
However, they are stand alone collections too & I’ve used Ocean by itself for my first page.
PHOTOS
My daughter is a photographer & I wanted to create a page that reflected her love of capturing nature. So I chose six photos each measuring 2.25″ x 1.5″. I printed them as one piece but they could be printed separately if necessary.
I started by applying some pale blue paint in the centre of the page & added the set of photos over this area. Using some leaf illustrations from the rub-on transfer sheets, I placed them in the space above the photos.
Then I chose a title from my stash of 49 & Market chipboard which I glued over the rub-ons.
Next, I added a decorative strip from the Laser Cut Elements pack to create a border on the left side. I also used some thin Pet Tape to give it extra definition. These Pet Tapes, from Hey Little Magpie, are a great addition to your stash & are really versatile! I placed a leaf cluster below the photo group.
Along the lower edge I added more rub-ons, including a little flower & a phrase tab as a finishing touch.
