Collections revisited – Pt. 2

Hello Magpies, Jackie here with my last 2 ½ layouts for 2019.  I’m in the process of using up some of my collections from the last few months and that are still available in the shop.

Hello, Lets Go Home

I don’t normally used coloured cardstock, but as my cut file title was cut using white cardstock, I wanted the title to ‘pop’ off the page.  So I positioned  the cut file to the left of the cardstock, and then using some white acrylic paint added a distressed area underneath.  To give the cut file more dimension I added 3D foam before adding it to the cardstock.

Using a torn strip of  Dear Lizzy – She’s Magic – Air Mail Paper and tucked a piece of Shimelle – Field Trip – Going Up Paper.   I’ve added vellum and patterned papers under the photographs and used some die cuts from Shimelle – Field Trip.

I also added a HLM Flair Badge

Normally this cut file is used for a layout to document the start of the holiday/journey, but as the photographs are of us heading home, I added ‘home’ using Thickers from my stash.

Snowman Hunt

Recently I went to London for the day with Morag and on our ‘must see’ list was these cute snowman around London Bridge.

Using mainly Shimelle – Field Trip and Amy Tangerine – Slice of Life papers.

Using the B-side of Shimelle – Field Trip – Between Classes paper, as my base paper adding patterned papers from Field Trip and a border punched strip from the B-side of Amy Tangerine – Slice of Life – All Smiles paper, which I machined stitched to add some extra texture.

Then I added a few layers of patterned papers from Amy Tangerine –  Slice of Life collection underneath by photographs, and bit and pieces from the same collection around the photographs.  I fussy cut two of the phase frames from Dear Lizzy – She’s Magic –  Best Friends paper and also added these to my layout.

Behind the photographs I added a vellum pocket with some hidden journalling on a tag with I also decorated.

For my title I used  Thickers and small alphabets from my stash.

To finish the layout I added a stamped snowman from Crate Paper – Snowflake collection, which I stamped onto patterned paper and added to the bottom of the page, and on the same stamp set where some small snowflakes which I added around the page.

For my final layout for this year – which is my half layout – as it a 6×12 layout – which is a filler page for my New York album.

I added circle details using a stencil to my white cardstock using Distress Ink – Tumbled Glass.

Added a torn piece of patterned paper from Echo Park papers – Teen Spirit Boy – 4×4 Journalling card paper,

Stickers and die cuts are from the same range to finish the layout.  As this a filler page I’ve not added any journalling as the pages around it will have more details on them.

I’ve have enjoyed using up some of my supplies that I have had over the recent months.

Don’t forget to share your layouts on our Facebook page, we would love to see them.

I would like to wish all readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and see you all in the 2020 for more craftiness.

Till next time

Happy scrapping
