Cocoa Vanilla Studios | Sunkissed Part 2 | Giselle Homer
Hello everyone,
I’m back today with two more layouts using Cocoa Vanilla’s Sunkissed collection. It’s a very full collection with so much to choose from, so I hope there are lots of summer days ahead of us!
FUN IN THE SUN
I went to town with some mixed media on the background of my first page! There’s paint, stamping and ink splashes on this one and although I’m fairly new to this, I liked the way it turned out. I trimmed the white cardstock and framed it with the ombré paper.
After distressing the edges of my photo I backed it with lots of layers and glued it in place at an angle. I trimmed a row of rainbows to go along the top and fussy cut some tiny flowers too.
With so many fun die cuts to choose from in this collection, it was easy to add embellishments around the photo.
The title comes from one of the journalling cards that I fussy cut to fit alongside my photo. I backed it in orange to make it stand out more. A die cut label and a banner, plus a tag for journalling was all that was needed to finish the layout.
SUN KISSED
Continuing with the mixed media, my second layout is a more simple design and includes a fairly large cutfile.
I limited the amount of paint so that it spread across the middle of the page and used some orange paint through a dotty stencil.
I backfilled the cutfile with two different papers that weren’t too bold as I didn’t want it to be stronger than the photo.
As with the other layouts I’ve made with this collection, it wasn’t difficult to find die cuts to embellish the page. There are some cute puffy stickers too like this rainbow and pineapple.
I used two phrase stickers below the title and then I lightly drew a circle around the page. I used this a guide to add some Nuvo drops in two colours.
Although I have made four layouts with this collection, there’s enough left for lots more! It’s been fun to use some bright summery colours too.
Until next month, happy scrapping everyone.
