Cocoa Vanilla Studio – Midnight – Part 2

Hi again lovely Magpies! I’m back with 2 more layouts using the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla Studios Midnight collection. I’ve found that I’ve added bits from other collections on my layouts to give an extra pop of colour, as the colours in the Midnight collection are quite limited. It works really well with all kinds of other colours and collections though.

The Simple Things

This layout was inspired by my talented team mate Julie Taylor, who uses ripping quite a lot on her layouts. It’s so satisfying ripping into a fresh new sheet of paper!
I added ripped paper at the top and bottom of my page and adhered my photos using foam pads. I made 3 clusters on the page as the focal points, as this draws the eye around the page nicely.

I love these little word stickers from the sticker sheet, so I dotted these around my page too. The title is from the Vicki Boutin Field Notes collection and went perfectly with my photos of our boys balancing along a fallen tree.

I fussy cut the butterfly from the Butterfly paper in the Websters Pages Love is in the Air collection.

Happy Together

I’ve just received the amazing backgrounds pad from the new Vicki Boutin collection, Color Kaleidoscope, so I couldn’t wait to use one of them! They are so gorgeous – colourful, good quality, and takes all the mess and hassle out of making mixed media backgrounds. I trimmed this one down a bit to mat onto the Shine Bright paper.

I fussy cut the leaves and bird from the beautiful Falling Leaves paper in the Websters Pages Changing Colors collection, added my title from the titles pack, and added some chipboard pieces and stickers.

Thanks for reading, and I’ll be back next month with some layouts using the gorgeous new Vicki Boutin collection!
