Cocoa Vanilla Studio – Happy Days | Playing Badminton Together | Amy Kattenbelt

Hello Magpies, Amy here sharing another layout using the bright and summery Happy Days collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Playing Badminton Together

My starting point for this layout was the floral patterned paper. I knew I wanted to use a large area of it at the top of my layout. To balance this I decided to use my new Tim Holtz Brushstrokes stamps with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide. I used one of the larger stamps and stamped about 8 or so times in the middle of the background. I turned the stamp 90 degrees so the bottom edge wasn’t too regular. This is such a quick and easy way to use mixed media on your background and is great for either beginners or anyone looking to try something a bit different.

I layered up some stripes of patterned papers beneath the floral paper. By ripping the edges it creates lots of texture and interest.

I matted my photos with white card and placed them at jaunty angles where the papers meet the ink. I added diecuts from the ephemera and floral packs, as well as some stickers.

I created my title using the chipboard word “together” and some of the Doodlebug puffy alphabet stickers for the other words.

I created a cluster in the lower right hand corner. I finished the layout with some of the beautiful puffy heart stickers from the collection.

ThankS for coming to take a closer look at my layout. I’ll be back in a few days with a 3rd layout from this amazing collection.
