Cocoa Vanilla Legendary | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies,
How are you getting on with the lockdown? I hope you’re all safe, well and making the most of the sunny weather we have at the moment!
I have my last Cocoa Vanilla layout to share today and as you can see, it’s a fairly simple one due mainly to the large mandella shape on one of the papers. Who could resist cutting this out and using it as the base of their design?!
Before gluing it to the white cardstock, I sprinkled some orange ink to pick up the orange of the embellishments.
I layered my photo onto 3 papers and glued it in place left of centre. I added a couple of die cut circles, a circle and a chipboard tag from the ephemera pack. Plus a word sticker on the left that I mounted onto a patterned paper first.
Next I set about making my title. I used the word ‘awesome’ from the clear sticker pack and backed it with white cardstock. I fussy cut it and glued it in place to the right of the photo. I left space to add the rest of the title, above and below it, using an alphabet from my stash.
Finally I added more embellishments and a flair from the collection just below the title and slightly off the edge of the Mandela shape. And a few enamel dots and paper stars.
Altogether this was a fairy quick layout and if you’re short of time but want to get a page made, this might be something you could do.
I’ll be back next month with a new collection to work with. Until then, happy scrapping everyone!
