Cocoa Vanilla Legendary | Giselle Homer

Hello Magpies,

I hope you’ve all been joining in with our mega weekend of scrapping fun and challenges. It’s been a great way to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day especially as we are all still in lockdown! In the meantime though, I have this layout to share using the Legendary collection from Cocoa Vanilla. Such a great collection for boy layouts!

I started this layout by using one of the patterned papers as my base. I love the mixed media look and the little patterns reminded me of American Indian culture, so it seemed appropriate to use a cut file of a dream catcher to use with it.

I used lots of the papers to back fill the cut file choosing the darker colours on the feathers so that they contrasted well with the background. I filled in the little dots with gold Stickles from my stash. I glued the cut file in the top left corner of my page to allow space for the photograph.

I placed a couple of layers behind the photo and added a couple of photo corners on the left. I topped the photo with a die cut ticket, plus a moon and stars flair from the collection..

Then I added some die cut stars and some enamel dots to the layout for a little added interest.

I used two different alphabets to make my title which I added in the space alongside the dream catcher below the photo. A few more stars, enamel dots and a star tag below the photo finished off the layout.

I hope you enjoy some time to scrapbook either challenges from the cyber crop or even to record memories of this strange time we’re living through. I’ll be back later this month with one more Cocoa Vanilla layout.

Until then Happy Scrapping everyone!
