Christmas with Elle’s Studio – Pt. 2 | Jackie Ashton
Hello Magpies, Jackie here to share my 2nd blogpost for this month using Elle’s Studio Document December products. These products are not just the traditional red and green Christmas tones, but also includes pink, mint and grey tones.
Christmas Magic
To start my page I selected a few of the patterned papers and cut them into 2 inch squares. Arranging them in a grid format around my photograph, which I printed as 4×4.
Using the Elle’s Studio Holiday Seal Stamp set – I stamped one in red and one in green. To give these some dimension I added 3D foam and gold thread beneath them, before adding them to my page.
Using Elle’s Studio wood veneer I added to three of the squares, and two of the Elle’s Studio Cork stars for additional texture to the page.
Finishing my layout by adding a few holiday words strips from my stash and Elle’s Studio – puffy hearts.
Hello Clive
And isn’t he just lovely, a new additional to my Christmas decorations.
The papers from this collection are 6×8, which I cut down to be able to fit my 12×12 layout.
Again I choose a selection of the patterned papers and starting with the stripped one, cutting them down to fit across the page with the join under the middle cluster.
Adding layers of patterned papers on top, again cutting them in half so that I could expand them to fit across the page.
For my journalling I used Elle’s Studio Daily December Tags – Red, and added a few stamps details ‘love’ from Elle’s Studio December Memories Stamp, date from Elle’s Studio Dated Stamps.
I stamped on to some patterned paper using the Elle’s Studio Large Jane Outline Stamps and the accompanying metal die set. I added 3D foam to the letters to give them some dimension, and added some puffy alphabet stickers.
To finished the layouts with some Christmas embellishments from this collection.
This Christmas collection is lovely to work with and I know you will love it as much as I have. Not only to document your December, but also to make a few Christmas 12×12 layouts.
If you manage to do any crafting over the festive seasons, then please share with us over on our Facebook page we would love to see them.
