Christmas with Elle’s Studio – Pt.1 | Jackie Ashton

Hi crafter, Jackie here with my first blogpost for December using the lovely Elle’s Studio Christmas collection.

I must confess that I really lovely Christmas, I love it all, the decorations,  seeing the lights and all the fantastic decorations around this time of year.   I know that this year will be different, but I’m still planning on making it as jolly as possible and enjoying it the best I can.

Elle’s Studio products are lovely  to work with and getting my photographs scrapped from past years just makes it more enjoyable.

I’ve kept both of my layout very simple.

It’s a Wrap …

Each year me and James have a little Christmas and Birthday photoshoot in our garden, so after taking some Christmas photos we threw our hats down to take some birthday ones and when I looked they were perfectly placed on one of the tubs – like Santa had said he’s finished for the season.

So I started the layout by using a 4.5 x 8 inch piece of patterned paper and added it to the middle of my cardstock, and then added a banner piece to either side.

I added some journalling to one of the Daily December tags, and added the tag to the right side of my photograph – adding 3D foam under both my photograph and journalling card to add some dimension.

Using Elle’s Studio – Holiday Seal stamps, I added these images to the bottom of the page.

For the title I used the red dipped alphabet stickers.

For my 2nd layout, I did use a metal die for this, but the layout can be done without the die.  Each patterned measures approximately 8 x 3 inches, and as the patterned paper in this collection are single sided I added a corresponding patterned paper to the insides of 3 of the matts.  And added a tab details to the other matts.

After I decided which photographs I wanted to use, I then added an aperture to 3 of the matts, so that I could add my photographs underneath.

I then arrange my matts on my cardstock.

I stamped direct onto the patterned paper using Elle’s Studio Grateful stamp set and added a wood veneer phase.

I love this fun collection, its so easy to work with.

Don’t forget to share your layouts over on our Facebook group we would love to see them.

Till next time

Happy scrapping
