Choosing A Beautiful Trim To Elevate Your Scrapbook Layout

Hey Magpies, I was lucky enough to be working with the Hey Little Magpie February Embellishment Kit this month which contains the most beautiful trim which I just had to include on my layout. I began with a large 8 inch strip of the ‘Get It Done’ patterned paper from the Simple Stories ‘Take Note’ collection across the centre of my page, tucking the trim (cut in half lengthways) underneath the top & bottom edge.

Next I Placed my two 4×6 photos centrally & embellished them with florals from the ‘Floral Bits & Pieces’ ephemera & the HLM embellishment kit. Then I created my row of banners in the top right hand corner, 5 in total, measuring 1 inch in width by just under 3 inches in length.

To mirror the florals underneath my photos & create balance I added them on top of my banners too. Using some alphas from my own stash I added my ‘Ceramic Painting’ title.

To finish I added some fussy cut butterflies from the ‘Choose To Soar’ patterned paper. Do you have trim at home? Try using it to elevate the edges of your layout.
