Cherish Your People | Happy Haven Paige Evans | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, this month I had the pleasure of designing with the Hey Little Magpie new release dies & stencils alongside the beautiful Happy Haven collection by Paige Evans. To begin, I used the Geometric 1 stencil & modelling paste to add texture & pattern to my background.

Once the paste was completely dry I used blue & yellow watercolours to add colour to my background. To add even more interest I used the Circle & Mini Scallop boarder dies to cut from Paper 5, 7 & 8 of the Happy Haven collection & white cardstock.

I arranged my die cuts horizontally down the centre of my page, making sure the same patterned paper or die cut were not next to each other. I also used doilies & lace trim from this months embellishment kit to add more rows, they matched the design perfectly.

With such a busy background I didn’t feel the need for too much embellishment, I used a handful of florals from the ephemera pack & a couple of fussy cut flowers from Paper 5. My title ‘Cherish Your People’ was from the 6×12 Cardstock Stickers, it was the perfect title for documenting my crafty buddies  &  me.

To finish, I added a couple of butterfly stickers & a sprinkling of sparkle with gems & sequins. If you haven’t checked out the new releases yet, be sure you do so otherwise you might end up with some serious FOMO!
