Chelsea in Bloom – Simple Stories – Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone!  It’s Wendy here sharing my first August layout using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers. I’m a bit behind on my scrapbooking and am documenting a lovely trip with a friend to Chelsea in Bloom back in May. I have so many gorgeous flower photos from the day this collection is perfect for documenting them. These photos were taken at 11 Cadogan Gardens where another scrapbooking friend had been involved in the floral installation. This installation won Gold!

The installation was based around bees and honey so I chose to create a background using a hexagon stencil. I used Wild Honey distress oxide. I had multiple photo I wanted to show so I put them into pairs and backed them with papers from the 6×8 paper pad. I then arranged them diagonally across the page. At the top of the page I used some of the ephemera and floral ephemera to place the photos over. I embellished on the other side of the photo again with floral ephemera and a cute bee which was just perfect.

Moving down the layout I added tabs across the photos which I fussy cut from the paper pad. I then added decorative brads and a few more floral pieces from the floral bits and pieces.

I continued embellishing the rest of the photos with the floral bits and pieces and ephemera, along with more decorative brads.

Finally I used some lilac thickers which I combined with a piece from the chipboard clusters to create the title Chelsea in Bloom. I then added my journalling under the title.

This is such a gorgeous collection and has been ideal for all my Chelsea photos. Do take a look over on the website if it is a new collection to you .

Until next time… Happy Scrapping!

xx
