Chelsea in Bloom 2 – Simple Stories – Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers -Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone !

It’s Wendy here sharing my second layout using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers Collection. I have loved all the pastels and floral pieces in this collection which has made it so perfect for documenting Chelsea in Bloom. For this layout I tried a technique I have never done before – Rolling paper! I like the over all effect but my fingers were sore by the end!

I decided to roll lots of different papers from the 6×8 paper pad. I rolled them round my pokey tool, and used double sided tape to the adhere the edges. Once I had enough rolls I played around with how to position them, happy with my design I started thinking about the rest of the layout. I decided to add a couple of tags which I fussy cut from the 12×12 tag elements paper. I then added a post card from the ephemera, some floral ephemera and a decorative brad to make a cluster. I adhered this all to the white card stock and then attached the paper rolls over the top. I used double sided tape on the card stock to used a base fro the paper rolls and used nuevo glue along the length of the paper roll.

I added a large chipboard cluster and then attached the photos over the paper rolls. I created another small cluster using aper from the 6×8 paper pad, chipboard and floral ephemera .

Finally down the left side of the page I added some torn paper strips. I created another cluster again using the chipboard, fussy cut pieces from the paper pad and a decorative brad.

I love how this layout turned out as it was so different to my normal style and I practised a new technique!

Till next time … Happy Scrapping!

xx
