Changing Colors with Webster's Pages
Hello Magpies & Happy New scrappy Year to you all.
There are lots of new collections trickling into the store & I’ve decided to go with a brand that never seems as popular as some of the others but I’ve always loved their designs & colours & that’s Websters Pages. They have 2 newish collections out, Changing Colors & Love is in the Air & I’ve mixed these 2 collections together for my choice this month. Both are a small collection, in comparison to some of the other collections out there & don’t offer much in the way of embellishments but I get round that by fussy cutting, die cutting & stamping.
My first layout ‘Happy Days’ I went with a 4 inch strip of happy day paper, down the right hand side & stitched the left side & added a zip & lace on the right hand side.
I then added oxide inks, picked raspberry, spiced marmalade & squeezed lemonade, using the packaging technique & adding splatters. I then added lots of text words, circles & arrows & added my photo cluster, centrally on top of all that. I fussy cut the rainbow from the other side of the happy day paper & the word ‘happy’ from the smile paper. A kraft tag. Some twine & another cute girl from the Pebbles Jen Hadfield along the way 6×12 cardstock stickers finishes off the layout
For my second layout I focused completely on that beautiful bouquet branch paper, fussy cutting out all those lovely flowers. After I’d cut them they looked a little flat so I sewed circles onto them & added some distress bronze embossing powder & melted it, I just love how it added a centre to each flower.
I used a piece of the B side of home sweet home paper at the top of the layout & layered it with the B side of the butterfly paper adding both to white cardstock I added distress oxides to the cardstock & layered my flowers down the page adding foam tape for dimension & leaf sprigs.
I put my 2 photos up the top of the page & added a large butterfly again fussy cut from the butterfly paper.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my layouts today & thanks for stopping by, I’ll be back towards the end of the month with more from these collections xx
