C'est La Vie by Pink Paislee

Hello Magpies, Jackie here with my blogpost, this month I’ve used the new collection my Pink Paislee – C’est La Vie – which is packed full of loveliness, and which as a fresh tone, and to be honest when I got it I wonder if it would be as versatile as it was, I hope you agree that it is a great collection for all sorts of projects, for me I did 3 layouts.
Lunch Date
I recently made a quick visit back ‘home’ to Preston to see my friends, it was just want I needed, shopping, lunch and most importantly laughter.
So for my first layout, I used No. 10 for the background, and a strip of No. 3 (pink) as the base for the photographs.  Underneath 2 of the photographs I added some black cardstock to help them to stand out and added 3D foam underneath the middle photograph. (apologies for the darkness of the middle photographs – its definitely not this dark in real life).

This collection has a lovely selection of embellishments, including the ephemera die cut pack, that includes frames, gold foiled words, acetate tags, letters, numbers and cardstock stickers.  There are also puffy stickers, washi tape stickers, cork hearts and word jumble stickers, all of which I added to this layouts.  I also found these lovely Becky Higgins Wood Veneer in the shop, and as I love, love love wood veneer I just had to get a pack.

Using a selection of papers from the 6×6 pad, I added two punched borders to the top and bottom of the middle piece of paper, and added some of the pieces from the die cut pack.

For the title I used the lovely chipboard alphabets that came with this collection, that are dipped in gold and have a brick pattern to the top.

For my 2nd layouts title – Hello, hello – I decided to use one of the many cut files I have cut out and not used

I didn’t want to back every shape so  I only did a few  using papers from the 6×6 pad.  I mounted my photograph on to various pattern papers from the 6×6 pad and added 3D foam to give it some definition.
Again, using the embellishments that came with this collection, ephemera, puffy stickers, word jumble stickers, washi tape stickers, and some of the Becky Higgins Wood Veneer

I then mounted the layout onto a sheet of  the Pink Paislee – C’est Vie Lie – No. 11, using the B-side.
Roses
For my final layout this month, I was having a play with my instax printer, and printed this photograph of some roses that Julie gave me the other day, so I decided to use the photograph for this layout.

For the background I used No.7 paper and distressed the paper, with colour tones similar to the papers being used.
I then layered the instax print using some papers from the 6×6 pad, directly under the photographs, but I also choose 3 sheets and cut them down to 4×4 and rounded the edges and layered them underneath at an angle, add some 3D foam pads between a few of the layers.  I die cut some circles from the 6×6 pad and tucked them in between and behind the layers of paper.

I used the chipboard alphabets that came with this collection for the title, and added some of the collections washi tape stickers undernearth to add to the design.
