Celebrating Autumn with Echo Park
Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today sharing 2 layouts using the lovely Celebrate Autumn collection from Echo Park. As the name suggests it’s a fab rich palette of reds, oranges, teal & gold depicting the autumn colours, & a cute array of little critters which were my fave.
For my first layout ‘Hello Fall’ I took a piece of cardstock & cut it down to 11×11 & added some texture paste, through a stencil & a few ink splatters. I then inked some bandage, in various autumn colours & added that across the centre of my page & placed my papers & embellishment clusters off that. I cut a few frames, out of the 6×6 paper pad, with my WRMK Frame Punch Board, & scattered those towards the top & bottom, layering them up with chipboard accents, enamel dots & a couple of Elle’s Studio Autumn acrylic leaves to give a different texture. I framed the whole layout in the autumn floral paper after punching & distressing the edges.
For my second layout ‘Thankful & Blessed’ I tore a piece of white cardstock in half after adding a layer of gesso, this just allows me to play with inks & wet medium without the paper getting to damaged. I added some distress oxide inks, using the packaging technique & then stamped some of the Vicki Boutin stamps from the Shine set from the Field Notes collection & embossed them in different colours & then added an abundance of die cut leaves cut from the 6×6 paper pad, layering them down the page with some Elle’s Studio wood veneer leaves & love tags & some enamel dots. I curled the top of the paper & added another curled piece from the 6×6 paper pad & added all that to the Fall is Fun paper, placing my photos & a few embellishments at the top.
I have really enjoyed using this collection & hope you have enjoyed seeing what I’ve created, until next time xx
