Carta Bella – Our Travel Adventure | Jackie Ashton
Hi Jackie here, with my first layouts for March using Carta Bella – Our Travel Adventure. I do love a travel theme collection and this didn’t disappoint.
Go and Explore.
I found an old Echo Park plane stencil in my stash, which was perfect for this layout, and used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to add the detail on to my cardstock.
I cut the Wanderlust (red planes) patterned paper at an angle – the top of paper is 3 inches wide, whilst the bottom is 4 inches. Using the Travel poster I cut the ‘USA’ 3×4 card out and then cut a 1 inch piece to add to the side of the Wanderlust paper. To add some additional texture I machine stitched down the edges and distressed the edges before adding it to my cardstock.
Using the 6×6 paper pad I added a few layers of patterned paper behind my photographs and distressed the edges and added them to my border strip. To be able to tuck things around my photographs I only added adhesive to the middle of the photo matt so it makes its easier to tuck things behind.
I used stickers from the 12×12 sticker sheet, sticker book, puffy stickers, and frames and tags. The frame and tags offer a little bit more than just frames, as some of the middle of the frames can be removed and used as additional embellishments.
I added the ‘USA’ 3×4 card to the side – which was appropriate as we were on our way to New York.
I also added a small cluster to the top right side of my page, using, stickers, frames and tags and enamel dots.
I’ll be back later in the month sharing another layout using this collection.
