Carta Bella – Our Travel Adventure | Jackie Ashton

Hi Crafters, Jackie here with another layout using Carta Bella – Our Travel Adventure, for this layout I wanted to add several photographs to my layout.  I visited Malta in 2016 I lucky to see the Azure Window before it collapsed the year later.  Anyway I printed my photographs slightly bigger than I wanted, they measure approximately 2.5 inch square, but decided that I still wanted to use them on my layout.

Exploring Malta

Even though this collection is very travel based with patterns of planes and various worldwide travel locations, I decided to use the b-sides of the pattered papers for this layout.

I started with the b-side of the  Journalling Cards paper as my base.  Then added a 4 inch border of b-side of Away We Go and a 1 inch border from  Jet Set, I bordered punched both these papers.  Then I added them to the lower edge of my base paper.

Then I arranged my photographs down the right hand side of the paper, adding some 3D foam to a few to give some dimension.

I added  stickers from the Sticker Book, enamel dots, puffy stickers and pieces from frame and tags pack to embellish around the page.

For my title I used alphabet stickers from the sticker book and the ‘Malta’ are puffy alphabets from Elle’s Studio from my stash.

Even with the slightly bigger photographs, I managed to fit 10 photographs on the page, and it doesn’t look to crowded.
