Cake Comp | Bea Valint Sketchbook | Emma Kate
Hello Magpies, I’m back again sharing another layout using the beautiful ‘Sketchbook’ collection by Bea Valint, I began my page by fussy cutting numerous frames from the Beautiful Moments patterned paper. I chose four of them to be frames for my photos whilst the others I kept the inner piece intact.
Next I arranged my frames onto white cardstock but before I adhered them to the page I used distress oxides sprays in complimentary colours & the packaging technique to create a mixed media background. Once completely dry I added some of the frame stickers from the Sticker Book behind the fussy cut frames that I adhered in place with foam tape.
Using the Alphabet Thickers I created my title Cake Comp, I had to be a little creative but lucky for me I could squeeze in four letters per frame. With a combination of fussy cut icons & the Sticker Book I decorated the remaining empty frames.
To finish I added my journalling in the centre frame & added some sparkle with some gems. Frames are great for giving you that perfect place to add you photos too, why not give it a try!
Until next time, much love, Em x
