Brothers | Pebbles – Cool Boy
Hello Magpies, Amy here with my third layout using the bright and fun collection called “Cool Boy” by Pebbles.
Brothers Forever
I have used a classic 3×2 grid design to document these two photos of my sons taken way back in 2009. Crazy how fast the time has flown. I wanted to use the Reach For The Stars cut apart card and that inspired the rest of the layout.
I decided to limit my colour palette to just the blues and greens from the collection. There are small pops of orange and silver too which I think ended up working really well and are very eye catching.
Instead of 2 of the rectangles in the grid design, I placed my title and die cuts. To match the UFO on the cut apart I used the rocket die cut. Again I used the Florence alphabet stickers to create my title, and I added a vellum phrase from the ephemera icon pack underneath.
One of my favourite parts in the process of creating a layout is added the small little details. In this layout I added some small stickers and mini puffy stickers to the layout.
I added patterned paper to the top of the layout and a long sticker to the bottom. I often do this with a grid design as I feel it frames the page better.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I have used this collection. I made three layouts for Hey Little Magpie using it. One featured a older boy, this one a toddler and a baby boy, and the last one was all about the dinosaurs. The bright primary colours and eye catching ephemera make this collection really versatile and so much fun to create with. I will be back next month working with a different collection, so until then Take Care,
