Brand New Day | Julie Taylor

Hello Magpies, Julie back with you again today sharing a layout using the lovely Brand New Day collection from Rosie’s Studio.

It has a fab, fresh colour palette of soft blues, lilac & yellow perfect for spring photos or even a wedding if the colours matched!!

 

You are one of a Kind

 

 

I’ve used A Wheel of Triangles cut file on this layout, which I cut in white & then used the centre triangles to draw around some of the papered papers, out the 6×6 paper pad & sewed these into place onto some black card stock. I think the black makes the collection look dramatic & gives a completely different look to when it’s on white. I added some ink splatters & some gold thread to tie in with the gold in the collection.

 

 

 

I matted my photo, on papers from the paper pad & attached a couple of tags from the craft tags pack & adhered to the page bottom right.

 

 

I then went to town adding all the embellishments, around the photo on the left hand side, cardstock stickers, chipboard stickers, die cut ephemera, sentiment ephemera & the gorgeous 3D butterfly embellishments.

 

 

 

 

I also added some co ordinating buttons, out my stash & sewed them into place.

 

I have loved creating with this collection. I’ve made 3 layouts now & my stash doesn’t look like it’s been touched!!! so best get making some spring memories to create with!!!
