Blowing Bubbles | Pinkfresh Studio The Simple Things | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, I’m back with another 12×12 layout using ‘The Simple Things’ collection from Pinkfresh Studio. With this page I am showcasing the ‘Happy List’ patterned paper with its vibrant warm toned rainbows.

I began by cutting apart each coloured strip of the rainbows, not worrying about being too neat as I plan to distress the edges. I then position each strip back in its original place, adhering them on to white cardstock using a little bit of tape runner.

Next, I machine stitched along every edge of each strip in white thread. Placing my photo centrally I used a combination of ephemera & fussy cut flowers from the ‘Beautiful Day’ patterned paper to frame it.

Using the Puffy Alpha stickers from the same collection I added my ‘Blowing Bubbles’ title. Don’t be afraid to create a vertical title if it works better visually.

To finish, I bent up & distressed all of the stitched edges, plus added some sparkle with a sprinkling of sequins. This is such a versatile collection, it lends itself well to document many stories, go check it out.
