Birthday Lunch – Simple Stories – Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers – Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here sharing my third layout for August using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers. I have used this gorgeous collection to document an outdoor birthday lunch. The ephemera and floral bits and pieces were perfect both in colour and style for my photo.
I really loved the 12×12 Walk in Nature paper and decided to use it as my back ground. I used a craft knife and cut through a lot of the edge lines to all the different papers on the sheet. Then I distressed their edges to give dimension to the page. I backed my photo using ephemera pieces and then created a cluster to the right side of the photo. I combined floral ephemera, chipboard clusters and ephemera for this. I raised different parts on sticky fixers for extra dimension.
I then moved to the left side of the layout and created another cluster in the same way.
Finally at the top of the layout I tucked in a few pieces of floral ephemera and added a brad.
After the initial outlay of cutting all the edges the layout came together quite quickly afterwards and I was pleased with the overall effect on the page.
Until next time… Happy Scrapping!
