Beautiful – Pink Paislee – 5th and Monaco – Wendy Meffan

Hey Magpies, it’s Wendy up on the blog today and I’m sharing two more LO with you from the Pink Paislee 5th and Monaco collection. This is such a vibrant stunning collection with gorgeous accents of gold in it and also a  complete contrast of bold black and white.

Firstly I decided I wanted to make a floral LO using the gorgeous large flowers in both black and white and colour to go alongside my photo of my daughter in front of a climbing rose in our garden. I used the 12×12 sheets No 8 and No 3 from the collection and cut a selection of the flowers out, using both black and white and colour to contrast with each other. I then added some gold flowers I had cut from the 6×8 paper pad .

I decided to make two clusters one each side of the photo.

I felt the page had too much white space and so cut strips of the 12×12 paper N0 7.and also No 3  and sewed them onto the left side of the page.

At the top of the page I added another little collection of stickers and a few more cut out pieces.

To finish the LO I added stickers from the sticker sheet and some dots and gems from the gems pack. I added a few puffy stickers and then added the long black scallop border across the bottom of the LO. Finally I added the title from the ephemera pack.

I was very pleased with this LO and felt the embellishments and photo were well balanced.

BARBADOS! Layout No 3

This LO had a totally different feel to the previous one and I used the more tropical elements of the collection as my photos were from Barbados.

To make the most of the variety of beautiful pages I cut strips from the pages in the 6×8 paper pad. I attached them at all different angles to the page, some were raised on sticky fixers. I then decided I would sew through them onto the page. To give the LO definition at the edges I added strips of paper No 3 and machine zigzagged them down the sides of the LO.

I matted the two photos using the 6×8 paper pad again.

I added bits from the ephemera pack to help embellish the LO

I then used my water colours and added splatters in corresponding colours to the LO and a few gems and enamel dots.

Finally I added the title in Gold thickers.

This LO held the vibrancy and tropical feel of Barbados for me,

I hope you have enjoyed the variety from this beautiful collection and will feel inspired to use it.

Happy scrapping until next time….
