Hello Magpies,

There are some memories that deserve to be documented with extra love, and these precious photos from my daughter’s wedding, of my eldest daughter & her best friends,  were the perfect match for the beautiful Simple Stories Simple Vintage Junk Drawer collection. The soft colour palette and charming vintage aesthetic complement the timeless feel of these special moments so beautifully.

To begin my layout, I added a little ink to the background, creating a subtle wash of colour that brings warmth and depth without overwhelming the page. I wanted to keep the design feeling handmade, so I included hand stitching in two opposite corners, adding texture and a delicate finishing touch that echoes the nostalgic feel of the collection.

For my photo arrangement, I chose three 3.5 x 2.5-inch portrait photos and staggered them diagonally from the top left to the bottom right of the page. This creates a natural flow across the layout while allowing each photo its own space to shine.

Around the photos, I tucked in a variety of the gorgeous ephemera pieces included in the collection, layering tickets, tabs, ledger cards and other vintage-inspired elements to create rich clusters full of interest and detail. These little additions help tell the story while enhancing the overall vintage vibe.

To finish the page, I added a selection of words from the foam sticker pack across the centre of the layout. Not only do they reinforce the sentiment behind the photos, but they also visually connect the clusters, bringing the entire design together.

This layout perfectly captures a day filled with love and unforgettable memories, preserved with a collection that feels both elegant and timeless.
