Hello magpies

I’m sharing my final layout using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Essentials collection & today I’m focusing on the rub on Butterflies. Rub ons have come a long way since those of old & go on like butter now & don’t leave that horrible adhesive line around them anymore!!! I added a few to some scrap cardstock & cut them out to use as embellishments, & added more directly to the background, over the Typeset numbers I’d already added.

This photo was made for this title & I wanted to keep the layout soft to echo the sweetness of it. I laid a couple of tape measure strips, cut from the Authentic paper, to anchor my photos & made a photo mat using ephemera out the take note bits & pieces pack & captured bits & pieces pack & added my photo on foam tape for dimension.

I’ve embellished using some of the chipboard metal hardware pieces & that pack is FULL!!! plenty left for further layouts. To finished the layout I splattered with some Victorian Velvet oxide ink & white acrylic paint & added a canvas flair which matched the colours perfectly.
