Awesome Fun, Simple Stories Tinseltown | Julie Taylor

Hello Magpies & welcome back to the blog.

I’m still scrapping Disney memories &  today I’m sharing a layout made using Tinseltown from Simple Stories. I love that they brought out many collections for all the different parks as it makes it so easy to document the photos taken at each one.

These photos were taken in Toy Story Land, in Hollywood Studios & as you can see it’s a bright, bold colour palette & the collection depicts that. I went with a white cardstock background, which I trimmed down to 11×11 & added to fun & games paper to give the striped border.

I added some mixed media, across the centre, horizontally, using Mustard Seed Oxide ink through Tim Holtz Layered Stencil Bubble & added a bit of stamping using the same ink with the Elle’s Studio Title Builder Vol 6 Magic Stamp.

I then added my photos, across the centre, & built clusters around them using the Bits & pieces pack, foam stickers & die cuts from the exclusive Hey Little Magpie dies Circle web & Viewmaster Reel.

My big word title is out the Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Chipboard Titles pack. These are fab for inking up to match your colour scheme. I’ve used Unchartered Mariner & then flicked with water & dried to give the mottled look.

I added another small cluster, at the bottom, to draw the eye down & finished with brads, enamel dots & a canvas flair.

I’ve had great fun scrapping & re-living these great memories.

Thanks for joining me.

Until next time,
