Autumn with Shine and Cedar Lane
Hi!
I’m posting earlier this month… ‘cos I really wanted to show you the new collection from Maggie Holmes – Shine! And also the new collection from Pink Paislee – Cedar Lane. I almost never ever stick to only one collection… don’t know why! I really like to bring collections together and make my own kits. And it gives you a new look… sometimes you find items that match that no one else thought about! 😀
In this post I will also highlight my favorite products right now! Some from Shine, some from Cedar Lane and some from completely different brands and collections!
Du (You)
For this layout I combined my two favorite pieces of the Shine collection. The big letters in gold and the floral paper! My favorite technique right now is fussy cutting. I cut apart almost every floral paper I get my hands on!!! The background paper for this layout is from Cedar Lane (Riverside Lane).
The big letters spell the word “DU”… as in “You” in English. I really wanted to make something in my own language and “You” in Swedish is one letter shorter! On the text strips I wrote things about my daughter I love right now. I tried to describe her in short sentences, both some positive and some negative! 😀
Find what makes you happy
For my second layout I wanted to do something different! A clean layout with a lot of pattern paper! I felt like I really needed to use the paper with the zebras. The colors on that paper are so vivid! I bought two of the ephemera pack… ‘cos die cuts are the type of decoration I often use.
Some gold splatter, some stickers and some enamel dots and the layout was complete! I really liked to use strips of text so I used it here too. Here I described how my daughter always copies what I do…. but she doesn’t always get it right! 😀
Happy Little Moments
Sooo… fussy cutting! Again! 😀
Here I took another floral paper and cut it apart! The wood grain paper is from Dear Lizzy Documentary! For the plus signs on the layout I used the stamp from Amy Tangerine. The plus sign is almost a perfect match for the plus signs on the paper from Maggie Holmes!
Here I also used the roller phrase stamp from Maggie Holmes! It is super cute! Stamps really well and I love the phrases and the fonts!
XoXo
For this layout I started with the paper with the blue hearts. The photo is from a night when my daughter couldn’t sleep… so I wanted the colors to be a bit dark… but not sad. Happy dark! 😀
I tried to use as many squared decorations I could… and to make it less stiff I added the big “S”, some flowers and a lot of hearts from the pack of glitter stickers. Some shapes, like squares, are more difficult to use… to me! So I have a lot of square shaped decorations in my stash! 😀 😀 😀
Hello Sjukling!
… and Cedar Lane! How I love the colors of that collection… they worked so good together with all my recent photos. I loved all the wood grain and the dark brown. For this layout I also used the stamp from Amy Tangerine. And… of course I cut apart the floral paper Town Square! For the title I used letter stamps from Freckled Fawn and a word thicker from WRMK Wildflower (… and I really can’t understand how they can still be in the shop! Buy some!).
(“Sjukling” is a nice Swedish word for someone who is ill… )!
Amazing
One more with a mix of Cedar Lane and some pieces of Shine! Yet again, I wanted to do something different and found this quote on pinterest. I think the quote is so perfect for my daughter and her crazy ideas!
I wanted to take beautiful pictures of my girl and the autumn leaves. But no… she wanted to taste them! And yeah… I think these photos are funnier than most of the other autumn photos I’ve seen! 🙂
… the little fox is my absolute favorite from Cedar Lane and he needed to be in the spotlight!
