Art Walk 2 | Heidi Swapp | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies,
I hope you’re all well & safe. I have another layout to share today using American Craft’s Art Walk by Heidi Swapp. I wanted to focus on the papers in the collection as they are varied, really versatile and make great backgrounds.
I started this layout with a large cut file which I backed with some of the papers, I thought this would show them off quite well!
Then I trimmed the dotted paper and glued it to a soft blue paper which picked up the blue in the cut file. I backed the whole cut file with another layer of white cardstock and used foam dots to raise it from the dotted background.
I backed the photo leaving an area below it to add my journalling and some ephemera. I left a torn edge on the right and added a dark green strip behind it.
There are a lot of clear stickers in the collection which need a fairly plain background to be seen clearly. I cut one of them into strips and laid it on plain paper before placing them above the photo.
I used some wooden letters from my stash for the title, which I coloured using a white pen and a green ink marker. I placed another other clear sticker next to the title, with some enamel dots.
I added a phrase sticker with two heart circles and a copper coloured puffy sticker in the lower left corner of the layout. And another enamel dot – I do love enamel dots!
I placed two more puffy stickers to the photo at the top and lower right corner.
I hope you get some ideas from this collection, it really is so easy to use. Until next month, when I’ll be back with more from Art Walk, happy scrapping everyone!
