Arden Creative Studio – Season of Joy | Jackie Ashton

 

Hi Jackie here, sharing a festive layout created with the beautiful Season of Joy collection from Arden Creative Studio.

 

This project came together with a blend of soft textures, layered frames, and small details that make holiday documenting extra special.

I began with a piece of white cardstock and built the background using a Distress stencil and green ink, keeping the inking light and airy for a soft, wintry feel. The stencilled pattern gives the page movement without overwhelming the central design, and the pop of green instantly ties into the seasonal theme.

Next, I pulled out the Page Makers Ephemera and selected 3 of the larger coordinating frames. I layered them around the centre of the page  over lapping them to create a natural focal point for my photo. To enhance the frames, I added a mix of rub-on phrases and floral accents, tucking them around the edges for a delicate, organic touch. These rub-ons blend seamlessly into the cardstock, making the frames feel more dimensional and intentional.

For my journaling, I chose a tag from the Season of Joy laser-cut pack.   I added it to the lower frame, it’s the perfect spot to add my date.

My photo measures 3×4 inches, and I mounted it on patterned papers from the 6×8 paper pad, adding 3D foam behind to add some extra dimension, giving it a soft border that helps it stand out on the page.

The final result is a joyful layout full of texture and charm—everything I love about this time of year and this beautiful collection.
