Julie with you today sharing a layout using the gorgeous April embellishment kit.
This layout came together so naturally once I opened the April Exclusive Embellishment Kit. The moment I spotted the “April Showers” title piece, I immediately thought of the saying “April showers bring May flowers,” and I knew exactly what story I wanted to tell. I decided to document the beautiful flowers my daughter gave me for my birthday—such a thoughtful and unique gift.
What made them even more special was that they came with their bulbs still attached, along with instructions to cut them off, dry them, and replant them to enjoy again in the coming months. I absolutely loved that idea—such a meaningful way to make the gift last beyond the moment.
For this layout, I used the gorgeous “From the Garden” collection from 49 and Market and complemented it with elements from the embellishment kit. To start, I added some soft, stencilled clouds along the top of the page using a cloud stencil. I then die cut multiple clouds from both white cardstock and patterned paper, layering them together to create dimension. To add texture and interest, I included some machine stitching across the clouds, which really helps them stand out. The title sits neatly on top of this cluster, tying everything together.
From there, I arranged my three photos cascading down the page and surrounded them with the beautiful ephemera pieces from the kit. I love how the embellishments help frame the photos while adding depth and detail. To balance the design, I created another cluster in the bottom right corner using one of the larger floral pieces, a patch, and more of the ephemera from the collection, which helps ground the page and bring everything together beautifully.
This layout feels fresh, light, and full of meaning—just like the story behind it.
