April Embellishment Kit 2025 – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone, It’s Wendy here and here is my first layout for April and I am using the gorgeous April Embellishment kit. When I saw it I picked out the small bows which instantly reminded me of Disney and Minnie Mouse.  I then chose a photo of my Daughter in Disneyland Paris which I have been waiting to scrap. I have used Simple Stories Say Cheese Magic Collection.

I used three vertical strips of patterned paper from the Magic Collection. I attached them towards the right of the page. I then adhered some of the daisy braid from the embellishment kit along an edge. I matted my photo and placed it midway down the strips. To the right I started adding the clouds, the daisies and a butterfly to embellish the paper edge. I used word phrase stickers from the sticker sheet in between.

I used a stencil with distress oxides to add some more interest to the layout,  over the stencilling I stuck on some of the sequins from the embellishment kit  and also sewed some with french knots using the waxed string.

I found a very old Disney castle stamp in my stash so added a few mini castles in with the embellishments.

I continued on to embellish around the photo and to the left of it. I tucked a tag in behind the photo and attached the heart charm to it using the waxed string also from the kit. I fussy cut a mini banner which I positioned below the photo and then added the Smile patch from the kit over the top. To the left of the photo  I used three  small rectangular papers and layered them together. I added a title using mini thickers. I tucked in some flag stickers and another butterfly from the embellishment kit. Again I did some more stencilling and stuck on a few more sequins.

I managed to use many of the elements in the Embellishment kit which is so beautiful and I am really pleased with the finished layout.
