Another New Day with Dear Lizzy

Hey Magpies, Rachel here and I’m back with 2 more layouts using Dear Lizzy’s, New Day collection. I wanted to try and use more of the papers this time cause my last blog post I didn’t use much paper! So this time I tried to use some of that. I started with this LO which is basically a variation of the sketch challenge I posted on the Facebook Group in December. As I said then, it’s a design I use a lot just varying how many panels across the middle and how many strips above and below.

 
I started with the arrows paper from the 6×6 Paper Pad and also a strip of the striped Mindful Paper down the left hand side. A couple more strips below and my grid was built. I did small Nuvo Crystal Drops above and below.  I used the Bonjour Thickers for my title. Then I embellished with lots of stuff, Layered Cardstock Stickers, Puffy Stickers, Layered Clips with a Beaded Tassel hanging off it, Chipboard Stickers and then a row of the Enamel Shapes under the title to kind of represent tees in golf.

 
I really liked the floral, Be Present paper so I wanted to use a lot of it on this next LO. Then I used the green paper from the 6×6 Paper Pad under my photo to help that pop. I used some Nuvo Crystal Drops around the edges of the papers. Then I embellished with various things as above. I didn’t need to use too much because of the imapact of the floral paper so just some Ephemera, Stickers, Puffy Stickers and a Layered Clip.

 
I enjoyed using the Dear Lizzy, New Day collection and my favourite things were definitely the creatures with glasses on, they’re so cute! I also loved the Enamel Shapes much more than I expected to, they make great arrows! I have picked the Doodlebug, So Much Pun collection to use in February and there’s more cute creatures in that collection! I will see you in February Magpies, have a great rest of the month!
