American Crafts – April & Ivy | Jackie Ashton

Hi Jackie here, with my 2nd blogpost for February using American Crafts – April & Ivy Collection.

Blooms

I have got the 12” x 12” paper pad, I decided to use this lovely Petal Parade patterned paper as my background paper for my layout.

The photograph was taken at the front of Epcot in Florida of the gorgeous Flower & Garden display.  The whole displays around the park were stunning, and honestly I couldn’t pick one that was my favourite as everytime I saw a different one it became my favourite.

I printed my photograph at 8.5” x 4”, which was larger than I wanted, but love how these happy mistakes looks great on this layout.

I added layers of different patterned papers  from the 12” x 12” paper pad, behind it leaving a small border around the edges, and adding 3D foam to add some dimension to my page.

Once I added my photograph to my paper, I went through the embellishment packs  and picked out various bits and pieces to my layout. I found some acetate film strips from 49 & Market on my desk, that is perfect to add to my layout. Which I tucked in to the top and bottom clusters.

 

For my title I used a JD3D print wood, which is perfect for my page.

Finishing off my page with JD3D print wood bits, and enamel shapes from this collection.   I also added two fabric flairs from At the Park Collection.

I’m loving creating with this April & Ivy collection, the colours are so lovely.
