Amelia Creates Cutfile |Distress Oxides | Sally Ann

Hey Magpies, its Sally Ann with my first layout for the month of July. This month I am using one of Amelia’s cut files the floral wreath.

It is available as either pre cut or for download to cut on your own cutting machine. I am also using 2 Distress oxides in

Salvaged Patina and Worn Lipstick, along with the Heidi Swapp Sunchaser collection.

I started off by cutting the cut file in a piece of the pattern paper from the Heidi Swapp Heidi Swapp – Sun Chaser – 12 x 12 paper pad.

I then added the distress oxides onto my background using the packaging technique adding water to it using it as a water colour, in a circle shape matching the cut file.

I then added some of the distress oxides through a stencil onto my background with a blending brush. I attached my cut file to my card

using wet glue in a fine applicator positioned over the water colour distress oxides. I added my photo to a piece of white tissue paper,

followed by 2 coloured layers of paper all with distress edges.

I added my photo to the bottom of the wreath, added a flair to the left hand side

on top of a cluster of thread. 3 phrases stickers to the bottom left and a large heart and phrase piece from the Sunchaser ephemera.

To finish off I added white splatters using watered down white acrylic paint, and some clear dew drops out of my

stash, along with 2 of the puffy hearts from the puffy sticker set.

Thankyou for joining me, and I loo k forward to seeing you next month.
