ALL MY HEART – PART 2 – WENDY MEFFAN
Hey Magpies ! Valentine’s Day has passed but I’m here with two more LO using more of the Simple Stories Simple Vintage My Valentine Collection. Neither of these LO are themed to the collection again showing how versatile it can be.
SNOWMAN TRAIL
I used marshmallow card stock as I decided to use mixed media for the background, I used Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Red and Ocean colours , I put an amount on the cardstock and then sprayed with water and let the colours run down to give the drip effect. I used the 12×12 My Sweetheart paper and torn it across and then used the blue heart paper from the 6×8 paper pad for the top go the LO.
I used the Layer frames and added a 6×4 photo. I chose this photo as its colour were perfect but also because I love it when my whole family are together. I tore some more papers from the 6×8 pad and added them underneath the frame. I then added some dies cuts from the Bits and Pieces Die Cuts to add a bit more volume around the frame.
I made two more small clusters using the die cuts to balance the LO
I used my own punches to make the heart and the tickets which I added in to the clusters.
I added the title in Amy Tangerine Slice go Life Glitter and Black alpha foil letters, and also freckled fawn Puffy alpha stickers.
I was pleased I managed to combine a Christmas photo into this collection stretching me to think outside the box.
LO 2 SWEET AS CANDY
This was an easy LO to make just using strips from the 6×8 paper pad and cutting the ends like ribbon. I then outlined their edges in white pen. I used another frame from the Layer frame pack , there were 6 different ones in the pack.
I added the Sweet as Candy die cut piece as a title at the bottom of the photo.
I used the 2×2″ Elements Paper and cut the squares out and then cut the hearts from the squares to create the heart clusters above and below the picture. I added the hugs and kisses from the die cuts
I added the Love you More ticket from the die cuts in the centre of the cluster. I then added some splats from the red spray to finish off the LO.
I found it quite a challenge to make four different LO from one collection but am very happy with the end result and that they all look quite different .
