All Boy | Morag Cutts

Hi Magpies. I have been playing with Teen Spirit Boy this month by Echo Park Paper. It’s always a thrill to play with a collection for boys as they don’t come around too often. This one is perfect!

This journal card design I used for my title caught my eye – I love the triangle so made it the theme for my layout. I cut out triangles from thick cardstock to use as a template and drew around it here and there.

I also created a stencil by using a knife to cut out a triangle in which I could blend Distress Oxide ink – it adds another texture. To add more interest I tore strip of some old jeans, added a bit of thread before layering up the stickers.

I created the little flags by fussy cutting the banners from the Journaling Cards paper and glueing to cocktail sticks.

Make Some Noise

We recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with a party. As my son is now 19 – it was great that he and his friends also joined in the fun.

I used Distress Oxide inks to create a base colour on the white cardstock before using stencils and stamps. I then layered up with lots of papers from the Teen Spirit Boy Cassette Tapes & Rad Buttons. Stitching and thread adds more detail and texture.

The title is fussy cut from the 4×4 Journal card paper which I matted onto black cardstock. I love the retro feel of this!

To finish, layered stickers and ephemera in clusters around the page.

I hope I have inspired you to scrap the man in your life too! Thanks for stopping by.
