Hello Magpies

I’m back today sharing another layout using the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Essentials collection. This time I’ve teamed it with red to add my pop of colour but no mixed media other than a few black splatters.

I cut down a piece of white cardstock to 9″ width & tore the bottom edge. I distressed & rolled this & added a piece of Kraft cardstock which I also tore & rolled & added red pompom trim below that. I attached all this to Random Observations patterned paper.

I added a small cluster, tag, film strip & foam words to bring the eye down the page.

I’ve used the typeset rub ons, over the background, in place of mixed media. These went on beautifully & give the look of stamping but without the mess!!!

I made my photo cluster, starting at the top left & coming across & down the page adding take note bits & pieces, captured bits & pieces & ephemera.

I finished the page with some exclusive Hey Little Magpie flair, a fabric tab, buttons, out my stash, a knitted flower & a mini embroidered flower, all available in store.
