Adventure Awaits Mini Album | Jo Boland
Hey there! Jo here with a mini album ‘Adventure Awaits’ made using the 49 and Market collection ‘Vintage Artistry – Hike More’. This is a new scrapbook company to Hey Little Magpie and my first time using it. I have to say I’m impressed and keen to get some of the other collections. The collection has indeed got a vintage vibe, the papers are really good quality and thick. The colours in this particular collection feature a lot of greens, browns and a little blue, which figures as it is about the outdoors.
Here’s a look at what I picked from the collection:
I kept it simple by using the 6×8″ papers from the collection pack as they were, with the exception of three which I turned into pockets to hold ephemera from the trip. To make the front and back covers thicker and stronger I adhered two papers together. I trimmed the manufacturers strip from the 12×12″ paper and used that inside the front and back covers. The front cover was decorated with a mix of washi tape, die-cuts and laser cuts. I made collages in an app on my phone called Pic Frame and printed them out on my Canon Selphy. From the photos I decided which order the papers would go and stuck the photos in place. I made a pocket behind the first photo of each day to hold a Days of the Week journaling card from Elle’s Studio. Then I went through the album adding in bits and pieces from the collection. I also used Elle’s Studio alphabet stickers for the word LET on the second page and enamel dots from the Simple Stories ‘Safe Travels’ collection.
Mini-Album ‘Adventure Awaits’
Here’s a photo flip through of my mini-album Adventure Awaits, we packed a lot into a rainy long weekend.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I’ll be back later in the month with some scrapbook layouts made with this collection. In the meantime, check the Hike More collection here and all the current 49 and Market collections in the Hey Little Magpie Shop here.
