Adore You -Simple Stories – Heart Eyes – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone, It’s Wendy here and I’m sharing my second layout using Simple Stories Heart Eyes Collection. I just love the vibrant colours and decided to use it for a non love themed layout to show you can use this collection in many ways, other than Valentine/ Love themes. I decided to make a mixed media background using Kitsch Flamingo distress oxide and some stamping.

I chose  to use the 12×12 You’re my Person paper and tore a wide strip from it as a base over the mixed media. I then used a couple of papers from the 6×8 pad and tore two narrower strips and tucked them under the wide paper. I distressed the edges and curled them a little.

 

I then cut three tags from the 12×12 Tags paper, distressed their edges and tucked them behind the top of the wide strip.

I printed my photo 3×4 “and tore another paper from the 6×8 paper pad and matted the photo with it. I attached it to the layout using sticky fixers for some dimension. I punched two tabs and tucked them behind the photo and then added some stickers and chipboard stickers to embellish around the photo.

Have you seen the many flair badges available from Hey Little Magpie created to coordinate with different collections? I used the My Person flair set and used the Adore badge.

I die cut a few leaves in the papers and added them around the photo. Then I tore a couple more pieces from the floral paper in the 6×8 pad and added them in diagonal corners along with some more mixed media.
