Adding Those Little Details To Elevate Your Scrapbook Layout | Carta Bella | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, for World Book Day my little girl dressed up as Paddington Bear so I thought the ‘London’ collection from Carta Bella with its reds, yellows & blues would be the perfect partnership. I began by punching squares from the various patterned papers then placed them on a diagonal in a grid pattern.

I wanted to elevate the squares in the background so I decided to hand stitch around the edges of some of the squares. I used 3 strands of embroidery thread in coordinating colours.
Next I placed my two 3×4 photos at the centre of my page & added my title above & below with some blue alpha stickers from my stash. I then mounted my entire page on to blue cardstock connecting with the colours in the background.
To finish I added a scattering of gems & sequins. Just a few stitches of embroidery thread can be that little detail a layout needs to give it that something extra, why not give it a try.
Until next time, much love,
Em xxx
