A Scrapbook Layout Of Pinwheels | Our Groovy Summer Echo Park | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, I have based my layout around various sized pinwheels created with patterned paper from the Echo Park ‘Our Groovy Summer’ collection. They are super simple to make & add lots of impact, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube if you are unsure how to make them.

I began by coating my white cardstock with clear Gesso, once completely dry I used the packaging technique to create my mixed media background. I used Distressed Oxide Inks in ‘Squeezed Lemonade’, ‘Bundled Sage’ & ‘Tumbled Glass’ to complement the ‘Our Groovy Summer’ collection.

I adhered my pinwheels sweeping across the page, largest in the middle then decreasing in size towards the outer edges. Then I tucked my two 3×4 photos above my pinwheels both layered with patterned paper.

To embellish my page I used stickers from the 12×12 Element Sticker Sheet & fussy cut flowers from the 12×12 ‘Groovy Flowers’ Patterned Paper. Have you ever made a pinwheel? Why not give it a try, it’s lots of fun.

Until next time, much love,

Em xx
