A Beautiful Story – Pinkfresh Studio – Making the Best of It – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone, Wendy here, sharing my second layout using Pinkfresh Studio Making the Best of It Collection. I have gone for a totally different style of layout to my previous one and have used the latest Notebook Paper die from Hey Little Magpie.

I decided to make a grid style layout so the new Notebook Paper Die was perfect. I cut nine notebook tabs in three different papers from the collection. I decided I woud embellish them, and layer my photos on them. I chose three photos from my recent trip to Luxembourg. I went with a couple of freinds to a workshop by Lisa Fonseca and Shara Crane. We went out with them in Luxembourg the day before which was amazing.

I like embellishing mini tags and it creates a stunning effect. I used some of my Seam binding from the HLM Advent box to make bows which I positioned diagonally across the layout.and then added ephemera from the Ephemera Pack.

 

Around the photos I embellished them with stickers and ephemera. I also some more seam binding using mini heart paperclips from my stash.

For the remaining three blue tags I embellished again with the ephemera and stickers. I added a bits and pieces fabric heart again from the Advent box along with the Sharing a beautiful Story ephemera piece as the title.

I layered the ephemera on sticky fixers to give some dimension to the layout and then journaled at the bottom. Adding some black ephemera just broke up the pastel colour of the layout and gave it a good colour balance.

I was really pleased with this layout and how it came together, using up stash is also a bonus so do remember all those bits which just get put away and forgotten!
