5th & Monaco | Rachel Millington | Pink Paislee
Hey Magpies, this is my last post using Pink Paislee’s, 5th & Monaco collection. My first LO today really surprised me, all my other LO’s are pink and flowery and this one took a different turn for me! It’s not like me to use patterned paper as a background but the woodgrain Paper 9 just worked for me. I also used the mixed media sheet which is by Vicki Boutin and the Let’s Wander 6×8 Mixed Media Paper Pad and it’s a beautiful pattern with some gold text foiled on top. It went so well with the picture of the the peonies I got last year for my Dad’s anniversary. Since I’m not in New Zealand and can’t visit his grave, I always buy flowers for my house. So after I had my background paper, the 6×8 MM sheet and my photo down, I just added bits here and there.
I used some of the bits from the Ephemera Pack, specifically the ‘memo’ card, the woodgrain tag and the orange label I journalled on. The title is from the Right Here Phrase Thickers pack and I’ve dotted around some 6×12 Cardstock Stickers and Puffy Stickers too. I do apologise for using the super old swirly pearl sticker too. It is something I got from HLM but so long ago it was Sarah’s Cards! It’s been in my stash for years and the soft green colour was just perfect for this LO so I whacked it on. I hate it when I see a LO and there’s something on it that I’m like OMG, I HAVE TO HAVE THAT RIGHT NOW and then you find out it’s something old and you can’t go and buy one for yourself. So I’m sorry if you love the green pearly swirly doohicky, it is real old and I don’t think anything like that is available these days. I hope they come back around again soon cause I love it!
My last LO, I used some of the fabulous floral paper in the 5th & Monaco collection. It’s Paper 10 which is one of my favourites, I love the black spot on the other side so I used that as well! I built up my title by cutting things on my Cameo, I cut the word selfie 5 times and layered it up to give it dimension. I dotted around some of the embellishments, the Gem Stickers, Dimensional Flowers, Puffy Stickers and 6×12 Cardstock Stickers. I also added some of the Washi Tapes below my design and then hand drew a wonky border with a white pen around the floral paper. That was that.
I hope you enjoyed the LO’s I have made with the 5th & Monaco collection over the past 2 months. It’s a great collection, very usable with lush colours and cool embellishments.
